how fitting the color of the paint i used on this dresser is called paris grey. the brown colored wood gave it a hick chic vibe minus the chic. but with a couple of coats of annie sloan paint, matte white hardware, clear wax on the finished product, i rather fancy it paris chic. a large glossy white baroque style mirror resting on the top and the look is complete.
Granny B. , my 101 year old Grandmother gave me this dresser almost 30 years ago. It was the first piece of furniture I ever attempted to restore. Scott and I had it in each apartment when we lived in Williamsburg, Virginia, Raleigh and Wake Forest, N.C, then clear out to Chicago, Illinois where we lived a short 14 months. As I recall, it was one of t w o pieces of “bedroom” furniture we owned. Fast forward to Greensboro, N.C. (with a brief one year stay in Elkin, N.C.), Lane Scott came home for Thanksgiving break to find this dresser, which she claimed about 10 years ago, bright red.
